Cabins - California

cabin

Here are some photos of backcountry cabins I've been to. There are about 88 cabins on this page. Some of these cabins I've been going to for years and others have taken me a long time to finally reach. Most are abandoned miner's cabins but some are just homesteads in some lonely country. Many are not worth sleeping in, as they are dirty and full of rat droppings, but not all. You should be aware that Hantavirus is an issue here. Hazards aside, the cabins do make interesting destinations to visit.

I've tried to limit these photos to 1 exterior and 1 interior photo each. I'm sure I've forgotten a few and I know there are many more. If you find them, please treat them with respect. Many people volunteer their time and effort to maintain them. And once destroyed, these fantastic historical places are gone forever. Please leave them better than you found them.
