Dan and I came across this active claim a little ways north of Tonopah in the outback of Nevada back in 2008. It is an interesting place in some lonely country.

We didn’t know it was active until we explored the mine camp. Of course, we left everything alone. When we visited, the camp was open to visitors even though it is active. The cabin was fully furnished with a kitchen and bedrooms.
If you stay, please follow Backcountry Cabin Etiquette and respect the place.
