A friend showed me these modern petroglyphs over a decade ago. He didn't know what to make of them and neither do I. They are clearly modern but why are they here? What do they mean? Why did someone bother to carve them?
The symbols are carved into granite boulders - long wavy lines, segmented circles, spirals, concentric circles, some rake-like forms that resemble traditional rain symbols, and a few human figures. The style mimics ancient petroglyphs but the execution and weathering suggest they're relatively recent. According to my friend, this is the only such site in the area.
