"Hidden Handprint" Cave

Deep in the Wonderland of Rocks is a special rock shelter. Once used by the Serrano, it is a sacred place. They must have gathered here for rituals. The ceiling is marked with more than a dozen small red handprints, a shooting star, spoked circles, and other interesting symbols.

It’s possible the handprints were just to show that they were here, but judging by the size of the handprints, it is more likely that this was a puberty, coming-of-age, site; and likely female at that.

I went out to this special place with Peregriff. Check out their write-up of our trip.

Take only pictures and leave only footprints.
