These are various photos from our trips over the years to the Columbia #2 mine in the Mojave Desert. It is part of the War Eagle complex of mines and is well-traveled.

The Gallery Pictograph Site
Finding this incredible pictograph site took some time and a hike. The site had been on our list for a long time, and after some searching, we finally found it. And what a site it is! It is reportedly a Ghost Dance site.
Rio Pinto Arrastras
We didn't know its history when we found this triple arrastra site. I had guessed that it was built by early Mexican prospectors around the 1860s or 1870s. Since then, I’ve done some research, come across a few old references, and pieced together some history.
